Globizen Hospitality announces first project in Park City, Utah

Today we are excited to announce two new and interrelated things.

One, we have just acquired a vacant parcel of land in Park City, Utah that we intend to develop a single-family house on inside of the next two years. The plan is to execute on it in a very similar way to Mackay Laneway House. Globizen Developments will act as the developer and Globizen Studio will work alongside a local architect/designer, collaborating on all architectural and interior design elements. Construction will then be outsourced, though we will continue with our hands-on approach, which is typical of all the projects we work on.

The second announcement has to do with our long-term plan for the property. Upon completion, we intend to make it available for rent as a modern & creative mountain retreat. Inspired by wonderful builds like the nooq in Whitefish, Montana and Hinterhouse near Mont Tremblant, Quebec, we have decided to create a new business line: Globizen Hospitality. The focus is on building/operating lifestyle and culture-focused hospitality offerings in desirable submarkets around the world. And the goal with each location will be to promote creative expression. The making of things — whatever that may be for you.

So why Park City?

Park City is one of our favorite places in the world to snowboard and ski. It has a beautiful and historic town center, world-class mountains, an internationally-renowned film festival, and it happens to be, in our opinion, the most accessible mountain town in North America. Where else can you fly in (Salt Lake City) and take a 30-minute Uber into the mountains? Utah is also blessed with some incredible landscapes that make it a fun place to visit year round. We’re excited to get started on this new adventure.

If you’re in the Park City / Salt Lake City area and would like to collaborate on a project like this, we would love to hear from you. Drop us a line at hello@globizen.com.
